Gayle Goddard
Embellished RAW Bracelet

FULL
This intermediate class makes a tube of right angle weave with wings that no one will be able to figure out when you are done! They will look at it and beg you to explain how you did it. It helps if you've tried RAW before, because this is a 3-D project. The base is made of RAW with an embellishment stitch on top. It even curls to your wrist as you work so it is like a bangle bracelet when it is done. You’ll be happy you made the effort to go 3-D!

Supply List:
1) Size 11 seed beads, 5-10 grams, in the base color (but not Delicas)
2) 150 and 200 accent beads to embellish your project, i.e. 2 or 4 mm beads, size 6 beads, size 3 or 4 crystals or firepolish, etc.; 4 beads per each row, 38-40 rows for a 7” bracelet.
3) Large bead or button for clasp, to match
4) Size 12 bead needle
5) Fireline, Nymo or C-Lon thread, size B or D, color complimentary to the project beads
6) Nail Polish or Hypo (Jeweler’s) Cement
7) Bead Scissors
8) Thread Heaven or beeswax (unless you use Fireline)
9) Your favorite bead dishes
10) Any personal workspace items you wish – Personal lighting, beading surface, eyewear

Beth Dewey
Kokoshnik Earrings

Make these clever peyote earrings that fold in a shape similar to the Kokoshnik, a traditional Russian headdress worn by Russian women. There are lots of possibilities with these earrings as you can hang them in different directions, use two together, add accent beads, even extend the edges to create a different look. Use multiple colors to create a pattern for even more options.

Supply List: Size 11 seedbeads in 1 or more colors plus earwires. Optional size 15s for zip closure and 2 accent beads to add interest. Needle, thread.

Jeanette Carmichael
Francine Necklace

The Francine Necklace lies flat against the neck and is a rarity in that it doesn’t move around and become uncomfortable to wear. It can be made in a combination of colors or can be monochromatic so it coordinates with any wardrobe. The picture is Southwestern in flavor, but several samples in different colors will be available for view before taking this class.

Supply List: (Southwestern Colors)
30 grams black size 11º seed beads
10 grams each size 11º seed beads: Turquoise, Yellow, Red, Green
8 grams size 8º black seed beads
15 each turquoise and red 3 or 4mm bicone glass beads
Black size D Nymo beading thread

Supply List: (Monochromatic Colors)
40 grams primary color size 11º seed beads
20 grams 4mm beads to match primary color seed beads
White or matching size D Nymo beading thread

All Necklaces: Size 12 beading needles (short or long), Bead pad or beading dishes, Sharp Scissors

Janie Warnick
A Leaf is a Leaf is a Leaf is a Flower

Use Czech pressed leaf beads, 8/0 seed beads, and the new #10 Delicas to make sturdy flowers which can be used on bracelets, necklaces, rings and as earrings or pendants on lariats.  The flower is topped with one 6mm rosemontee or a top-drilled 6mm Swarovski bicone or a top-drilled pearl or…  These are quick and easy to make, so as an added bonus, you’ll also learn to make your very own rondelle beads with 4mm Swarovski bicones.

Supply List:
Kits will be available - $4.00 for the smaller leaf flowers and $6.00 for the larger leaf.  Each kit will make two flowers to use as earrings, the ends on a lariat, or ??   If you want to use your own beads, you’ll need at least 5 horizontally-drilled leaf beads, 20 #10 Delicas (and, yes, you do need #10s), 15 Miyuki #8/0 hex beads, a needle and thread. If you want to make a rondelle, you’ll need at least 20 regular Delicas (#11), 5 - 4mm Swarovski bicones, and 10 – 8/0 beads.    Basics - light, something on which to bead, needle, thread (I use C-Lon; doesn't matter what you use), and scissors.

The shape can be used as half of a toggle closure, as a pendant, charm or a design element. The hole can be any size, the sides can be any width, and the entire piece can be small or large. Supply List:
About one tube of Japanese (not Czech) 11/0s seed beads
About 144 4mm bicone crystals
